What’s the best car insurance?

21 Mar

Got a good quote from 21st century insurance. I’m thinking of switching from my Geico. I’d save a little bit but if anyone thinks Geico is a much better company then I’d probably stay. Any advice out there? Should I keep looking? I live in Florida. Thanks!

Don’t base your insurance needs on premiums! The ones with the lowest premiums are usually the ones with the poorest coverage record. Stick with the big names like Geico, Allstate, State Farm, Farmers and Aetna and you will be sure to have the best coverage even though you may save a few dollars. In the event of an accident or loss, you’ll be much better off with the big guys.

Ask yourself, what kind of service will I get if I have an accident????

Is there someone local who will be there to help you, or, do you just have a phone number.?

Geico is a good co., 21stCentury, I simply do notknow anyone who has used them.

You get what you pay for. This is absolutely true with insurance.

Find a local “independent insurance agent” and have them quote you with multiple companies. Find out what coverage you really need and go with as high a deductible as you can. There are a lot of mid market companies out there that offer outstanding service and reasonable rates.

Companies like Geico and StateFarm/Allstate are fine for average every day stuff, but they are really tight with their workforce and their claims teams are really overworked and sometimes don’t spend the time needed to investigate the tough stuff.

Companies like Cincinnati, Erie, Amica, Westfield(midwestern states) will give you much better service if you need them, and will give you fair premiums based on your driving and credit ratings.

A.M. Best ranks insurance companies based on service and financial soundness.

Nationwide. They have good rates and are known for their excellent claims service.
