Is Geico a good choice for car insurance?

04 Mar

Recently i have been looking to switch car insurance in order to find a better rate for not only me, but my teenage son and daughter. Currently i am paying $80 a month from a local insurance company just for myself, but after looking online i received a quote from geico claiming that insurance for my son, my daughter and myself amounted to a mere $88. Could a Geico or former Geico customer help me out here? What would you say the average rates are for you currently or formally?

Insurance price quotes are almost totally dependant on what the laws are in your state. I live in NY, and for the most part, Progressive has the lowest rates here, but Geico may have better rates where you live. You also have to factor in your age, your kids ages, and any driving violations any of you have had. Your question leaves too many variables to be correctly answered.

I currently use Geico and haven’t had any problems with them. They offered me the cheapest rate out of all of the insurance companies I got quotes from.

sorry, but that sounds way too low! i’d think more around 130-so call another Geico agent, or get another quote online for this-and make sure you have all the stuff that may be on their records, even before they got the DL. listed on the quote.

Geico, AllState, and State Farm are the best.
Claims are the best with State Farm… that’s what I have!

Cheap insurance isn’t good; good insurance isn’t cheap! Remember this always… because it’s true. Look at the limits of coverages you have with Geico and compare them with your current insurance company. While Geico is an alright insurance company with outstanding rates, they’re also a 1-800 number in most states without personal agents. If you have questions about your policy you’ll be waiting on hold for 5 minutes just to talk with someone you’ve never met. With a personal agent you can walk into the office and build a relationship with your agent. An insurance agent should be treated as a family doctor. While we can’t cure any sickness or anything like that we can make sure that your financial assests are adequately covered. When your son or daughter causes a serious accident, you find out that your liability limits with Geico are too low and you get sued would you be willing to call that 1-800 number and wait on hold to speak with your agent?? Like I said… cheap insurance isn’t good; good insurance isn’t cheap

The only complaint I hear about then is about their online quotes.

Give then a quick call to double check the quoted rate.

Well, if you ask that question to Geico personnel or Geico fans, they will certainly say yes. I think you need to read independent reviews about the company. it’s not only for Geico, but also for others. I have found a website that would be quite important for you to visit and read the articles that always been updated frequently. Who knows you find what you’re looking for up there…
